To ensure safe and effective use of Rodent Guard™, please carefully read the application instructions.

Rodent Guard™ is a non-toxic / VOC free, environmentally friendly, and highly effective solution that is formulated to form a long lasting barrier to protect your RV during storage season. As an added benefit, Rodent Guard™ contains mineral based lubricants that protect metal surfaces of the chassis from rust and plastic components from brittleness and cracking while in cold storage.

• Compressed air can be dangerous. Never direct spray toward any individual. Shrapnel from debris or forced air injection are serious hazards. Operator should follow manufacturer specifications. DO NOT exceed 120 PSI in application of Rodent Guard™.
• Use an appropriate and well fitting mask to protect against inhalation of atomized particles.
• Always wear eye protection.
• Do not dilute or mix Rodent Guard™ solution with any other substance or chemical
• If product is  accidently  applied to eyes, rinse with warm water for 15-20 minutes
• Keep Rodent Guard™ solution spray away from brake rotors and brake pads. Break effectiveness could diminish due to lubricating properties of solution. If applied by accident, wipe surfaces clean.

• Air Compressor - capable of supplying compressed air at 60 PSI minimum. 
• A High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) spray gun (Siphon type is recommended). You may purchase Rodent Guard™'s high viscosity applicator spray HERE or use a regular paint spray gun

Clean undercarriage of loose debris. Remove stuck chunks of dirt if there are any - washing of the undercarriage area is not necessary (dust on surfaces does not affect quality of protection)

Fill openings and gaps using an expanding foam filter (gaps are typically found around hoses, pipes, and cable entries through the undercarriage barrier). 

Use plastic grocery bags to cover and tape off waste release valve levers, BBQ propane quick connects (if equipped), and any heated or traction surfaces if spraying  a motorized RV (i.e. muffler, engine, belts, generator, etc.).

Pour the Rodent Guard™ solution into the spray gun canister.

Connect spray gun to compressed air supply using a hose with quick connect fitting. Set compressor pressure regulator to 60 PSI.

Test the applicator spray pattern on a section of the undercarriage. To adjust the range and cone pattern of spray applicator, raise regulator pressure in 5 PSI increments until satisfied with the performance (Do not exceed 120 PSI).

Apply a generous coat of Rodent Guard™ solution to the entire undercarriage, emphasizing ledges, hoses, pipes, axle(s), wheel wells, body mounts and supports. Do not apply to breaks or brake rotors, sponge or filter sensors and fan belts. 

Reference following images for general spray area: Green shaded areas require coating application and red areas are to be avoided. 

Use a damp cloth rag to wipe coating from any surface that is unintentionally sprayed.

 Remove bags and taping (from step 3) and store vehicle. 

Re-coat the undercarriage with Rodent Guard™ annually before seasonal storage.

• Rodent Guard™ can be washed from skin and equipment surfaces using warm water and a mild detergent (i.e. dish soap).
• Spills on asphalt and concrete surfaces can be removed using a pressure washer and a degreasing solution.
• Spray gun does not require cleaning as Rodent Guard™ does not dry out in the nozzle overtime, however if the applicator is required for other projects, Rodent Guard™ solution can be removed by washing the canister with warm water and mild detergent. Connect the spray gun to the air compressor and spray the same soapy warm water used to clean the canister to clear the injector nozzle.
