Protect Your Asset from Costly Damage

Every year, rodents cause thousands of dollars in damage to vehicles, RVs, boats, and equipment — often without you even knowing until it’s too late. They chew wires, nest in insulation, and leave behind droppings that can spread disease.

At RodentGuard™, we’ve helped countless RV owners, car enthusiasts, and boaters protect their investments. Here’s our guide to keeping rodents out for good.

1. Seal All Entry Points

Rodents can squeeze through holes as small as a dime.

  • Inspect your RV, car, or boat for any gaps or openings.
  • Seal cracks with steel wool, hardware cloth, expanding foam, or metal flashing.
  • Pay special attention to wiring and plumbing entry points and ventilation openings.

2. Eliminate Food Sources

  • Remove all food (including pet food) from vehicles and storage spaces.
  • Vacuum crumbs and clean spills immediately.
  • Store food in airtight containers made of metal or glass — plastic is no match for rodent teeth.

3. Keep the Area Clean and Uninviting

  • Clear away clutter, cardboard, and fabric that could be used for nesting.
  • Trim grass and shrubs near parked vehicles or storage sheds.
  • Avoid parking near woodpiles or compost heaps.

4. Use Scent Deterrents (with Caution)

Some report success with use of peppermint oil, scented soap, mothballs, or dryer sheets. While these can deter rodents temporarily, the effect wears off quickly and therefore relying on scent alone is risky. Keep in mind that mothballs can be toxic to people and pets.

5. Install A Barrier

The most reliable long-term solution is blocking rodents from getting in at all.
That’s where RodentGuard™ comes in:

  • Apply easily over your vehicle’s wiring and entry points.
  • Works 24/7 without pesticides or need for frequent re-application.

✔ Protects RVs, cars, trucks, boats, tractors, etc. year-round!

5. Eliminate Resident Rodents

A properly applied barrier will prevent rodents from getting in, but it also prevents the critters that are already in your space from getting out. It is important that after the barrier is applied ample traps (mechanical or glue based) are placed inside the living space for at least 4 weeks to catch the stragglers. Place traps in the corners or around wall edges for optimum results.
