Rodent Guard™ is designed for ease of application by both the professionals and DIY RV owners alike. Application directions can be followed to protect your asset without any prior experience in undercarriage coating application.

For effective spray of the coating, you will need a High Velocity Low Pressure (HVLP) spray gun and an air compressor. A normal paint spray gun will also work, but the spray pattern will not be as good.

You'll also benefit from a few rags for clean-ups and 2 or 3 grocery plastic bags to cover valve handles and fittings under the RV from being sprayed.

Rodent Guard™ is not a pesticide. Rodent Guard™ barrier spray is not meant to kill, trap or otherwise control the population of mice or any other rodents in the environment where the RV is stored.

Rodent Guard™ simply presents a physical barrier against entry of rodents.

It does not!

Rodent Guard™ base is made of non-evaporating mineral oils. Additives and agents are mechanically blended into the base and trapped within the long polymer chains of the product for near indefinite preservation. This means a single application of coating will effectively protect an RV for as long as it is placed in storage.

Rodent Guard™ is designed to provide year-long protection with a single application. Rodent Guard™ recommends annual re-application just before seasonal storage or after heavy undercarriage cleaning.

Rodent Guard™ is chemically inert and formulated to be safe on common RV and vehicle undercarriage materials, including metal, painted surfaces, wiring insulation, and rubber components. The lubricating properties of the coating is in fact a great rust inhibitor for metal components of the undercarriage and impedes brittleness and cracking of rubber that occurs naturally over time.

Yes. Rodent Guard™ can be used for an effective undercoating barrier in trucks, work and storage trailers, ATVs, farm vehicles, mobile/modular buildings, etc.

When used in vehicles with a drive terrain, care must be given to avoid spray into the engine compartment where belts and other friction dependent components are present. Also air inlets and filters must be kept clear of coating.

For best results, clean the surface and remove loose rust, dirt, or flaking coating before application. Rodent Guard™ will adhere over sound coatings and lightly rusted surfaces, but preparation improves durability.

Rodent Guard™ contains no harmful pesticides, poisons, and is non-toxic to humans and pets alike. Pets and wildlife will not appreciate the taste of Rodent Guard™ if curiosity leads them to try it out.

For best adhesion and performance, apply when temperatures are above freezing. If you must apply in colder weather, keep the product warm before spraying and ensure surface is dry. Rodent Guard™ becomes more viscous in colder temperatures and requires higher air pressure to spray out.

Rodent Guard™ gives off a faint scent during application, but the smell will be reduced within hours and becomes undetectable after 24 hours of coating.

Rodent Guard™ can be applied at any time of the year but the ideal application period is in mid-late fall as part of your annual winterization just before the RV is put in seasonal storage

No. Once a surface is uniformly coated, there's little benefit in over-application. Excessive coating will waste the product and result in dripping off saturated surfaces

A paint brush can technically be used to apply the coating, however it makes for a cumbersome and messy application process to ensure all nooks and crevices are properly covered.

If you own a pneumatic or electrical paint spray gun, you may use that to apply the coating but the spray pattern may not be as good as a long barrel spray gun that is meant for viscous solution spraying. Rodent Guard™ sells specially designed long barrel spray guns for optimal coating application.

There's no need for that. As long as there are no visible chunks of dirt stuck to the undercarriage, chassis beams, and axle(s), the product can be applied directly over dusty surfaces.

A wet surface is not ideal however small underlaying moisture (non-dripping) does not impact adhesion or effectiveness of Rodent Guard™.

It does not! Unused solution can be stored indefinitely for future application.

Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place.
